WASHINGTON - The Internal Revenue Service announces the selection of John Petrella, Jr., as Industry Director of Financial Services, Large and Mid-Size Business.

"John Petrella brings a wealth of experience to Financial Services, having served in numerous managerial positions including Director, Field Operations, in our Communications, Technology and Media Industry, and as the Senior Commissioner's Representative for the State of Rhode Island," said Larry Langdon, Commissioner of Large and Mid-Size Business.

As Director, Petrella will oversee the operations of the Financial Services Industry, which encompasses approximately 47,000 taxpayers. Headquartered in Manhattan, the industry serves taxpayers related to commercial banking, savings and loans, securities and other financial services.
