IRS Commissioner's Advisory Group to Meet

WASHINGTON - The Internal Revenue Service Commissioner's Advisory Group will hold a meeting at the National Office; 1111 Constitution Avenue, N.W.; Washington D.C.; on Wednesday and Thursday, June 23 and 24, 1993. The meetings will begin at 8:00 a.m. in Room 3313.

The agenda for the first day begins with updates on the non-filer program, Circular 230, and calculating interest on net tax balances. A progress report on ethics awareness and employee/independent contractors follows.

Wage Reporting Simplification will be the first topic of Wednesday's afternoon session, followed by a preliminary report on IRS corporate training efforts. Wednesday's meeting will conclude with a filing season wrap-up, a briefing on the Servicewide Electronic Research Project (SERP), and an update on the Market Segment Specialization Program.

The second day topics will focus on an update on third party transfer price information and a final report on the National Research Council Report on Tax Systems Modernization.
