IRS Advisory Group Meeting

WASHINGTON - The Internal Revenue Service Information Reporting Program Advisory Committee will meet at the IRS National Office, 1111 Constitution Avenue, N.W., Room 3313, Washington, D.C. on Wednesday and Thursday, May 19 & 20. The meetings will begin at 9:30 a.m. on both days, ending about mid-day on the 20th.

Among topics to be discussed are:

  • IRS/SSA Reporter, a quarterly cooperative newsletter sent to employers;
  • SSA Bulletin Board system, an electronic message system for sharing updates;
  • IRP Bulletin Board System, Information Reporting Program's electronic message system;
  • Simplified Wage Reporting, an update on new developments;
  • Notification of Changes in Reporting Requirements;
  • IRP/SSA Seminars. presented to the public by both agencies in cooperation; and
  • Shareholder Basis Reporting, reporting of stockholders' bases for determining profit or loss on sales.
