Components of Your MAC

Generally, before you can determine your MAC for 2001, you must first figure the three components of your MAC. The three components of your MAC for 2001 are the:

  • Maximum exclusion allowance (MEA) (chapter 3),
  • Limit on annual additions (chapter 4), and
  • Limit on elective deferrals (chapter 5).
