This document contains corrections to T.D. 8812, 19998 I.R.B. 19, which was
published in the Federal Register on February 3, 1999 (64 F.R. 5160), relating to
continuation coverage requirements applicable to group health plans.

issues raised by Geissal v. Moore Medical Corp., which is currently before the Supreme
Court.

Notice 97-41 from IR Bulletin No. 1997-28
T.D. 8716, 1997-19 I.R.B. 5, relating to group health plan portability, access, and
renewability requirements added to section 9801 of the Code by the Health Insurance
Portability and Accountability Act of 1996, is corrected.
